About Millwright
A specification catalogue for electric grain mills, read out of manufacturer documents and checked twice.
Millwright publishes research on home grain mills to help buyers compare equipment. Our articles compare manufacturer product pages, manuals and published specifications. AI-assisted research and automated checks support that work. We have not operated these mills; published specifications are not hands-on test results.
The catalogue runs to 9 mills, of which 7 carry a motor rated by their maker. The other 2 publish no wattage at all, because one runs off a stand mixer’s power hub and one is hand-cranked. Everything printed about any of them was transcribed from that maker’s own product page or owner manual: 65 documents were fetched, 331 claims survived a second check and were published, and 12 were discarded with the reason recorded.
This site is operated by Hyder Shah.
What it is for
A buyer choosing an electric grain mill is usually stuck between two mechanisms rather than between two brands, and the figure that settles it is almost always one a maker has already published and nobody has put in the same table. That table is the site. Four questions run underneath it:
- Does the mill use an impact chamber or a stone burr, and what does that change?
- Which grains and ingredients does the manufacturer permit, and which does it exclude?
- How is flour texture adjusted, and how much does each container hold?
- What does cleaning between batches require for that mechanism?
What it will not tell you
No mill here has been run, so nothing on this site is a test result. There are no prices, star ratings, review counts or sales ranks. Where two of a maker’s own documents disagree, both figures are printed with both sources and neither is picked. Where a maker publishes nothing, the cell prints an em dash and names the document that was read and did not carry the figure.
Millwright takes responsibility for the research published here. Questions and corrections can be sent through our contact page.
The full procedure, the verification record and the 12 discarded claims are on the methodology page. How the site is funded, and whether any link on it currently earns anything, is set out in the affiliate disclosure.
To compare the documented differences, compare the mills in the catalogue.
